Silver Streak Transport services residents living in Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. This program is operated by Common Ground Senior Services and provides rides to residents unable to utilize traditional transportation options, such as public transit, and have no other means of transportation for health and wellness appointments.
This program also provides transportation for grocery shopping, trips to the post office, or other needed errands, based on availability of drivers.
In addition, transports are available for out-of-county non-emergency medical appointments.
Please note: these rides may be shared with others.
Mobility means having transport services going where and when you need it.
For older adults who can no longer drive, trying to get to a needed doctor’s appointment, pick up a prescription, or even check the post office box for mail can be overwhelming.
Having access to transportation is a key to independent living for everyone, especially seniors living in our rural communities.
