Silver Streak Transport, operated by Common Ground Senior Services, provides rides to those unable to utilize traditional transportation options, such as public transit, and have no other means of transportation for health and wellness appointments.
This program also provides transportation for grocery shopping, trips to the post office, or other needed errands, based on availability of drivers.
In addition, transports are available for out-of-county non-emergency medical appointments.
Mobility means having transport services going where and when you need it.
For older adults who can no longer drive, trying to get to a needed doctor’s appointment, pick up a prescription, or even check the post office box for mail can be overwhelming.
Having access to transportation is a key to independent living for everyone, especially seniors living in our rural communities.
