Founded in 2000, Common Ground Senior Services is a non-profit organization serving older adults living in the Mother Lode.
We provide services and resources that offer positive impacts for older adults, living in rural Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne counties, who struggle with physical, nutritional, social, and economic needs.
“I love and appreciate the service provided by Meals-on-Wheels. The delivery driver is great, I look forward to seeing him each week. I really am glad I can use this service, it is of great help to me”
“My husband and I enjoy Meals-on-Wheels very much. The meals are tasty and it saves me a lot of time and eases the stress, as I am my husband’s caregiver. I enjoy Doug, he is such a wonderful person to give his time, we look forward to seeing him each week. This service is a God send”
“The transportation services have been wonderful, I used them during my cancer treatments for prescription pickus and doctor appointments. Everyone has been friendly, kind and professional. I recently started Meals-on-Wheels to help with my nutritional needs, so far the meals are very good and easy for me to prepare”
I cannot say enough good things about the Silver Streak Transportation program; it is so very much needed, especially to the senior residents in Pioneer, we could not survive without this service. David has been a wonderful transportation driver. Thank You”
THANK YOU AMADOR COUNTY
For 21 years, Common Ground Senior Services has been providing seniors living in Amador County with nutritious home-delivered meals.
It is with heavy heart that we announce, effective July 1, 2022, we will no longer be delivering meals to seniors in Amador County.
It has been our privilege and honor to provide Meals on Wheels in Amador County and we will sorely miss the smiles and greetings we receive with each meal delivered.
We thank our Amador County community partners including the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians, Jackson Rancheria, American Legion Post 108, Amador County Board of Supervisiors, and all the groups, organizations and individuals who have supported and given so generously to our Meals on Wheels program over the years.
Common Ground Senior Services will continue to provide residents of Amador County with our Silver Streak Transport services.
Again, thank you for the privilege and opportunity to serve Amador County
Now more than ever, older seniors living in our rural communities are struggling with food insecurity, lack of adequate transportation, isolation and loneliness.
Each month, Common Ground Senior Services delivers more than 5,000 meals to homebound seniors. We provide more than 200 rides for seniors needing to go to medical appointments, the pharmacy, and shopping.
With your support, we can do more. . .
